Once Upon a Long Time Tale
Micaela McGinnis
Once upon a long time tale there was a young, strong, humble farmer, who lived it the land of Hikta. He was tall, and vary wise. “He had the heart of an angel”, his friends would say. But even though he had vary much, he was still lonely. But one day war broke out against the land of Candidash and Icecess. No one new then what had begun. The enemy’s worriers were everywhere destroying whatever they could. Then came that the war had reached even the small villages like Hikta. The farmer became wearied for his village. He had a large gathering with everyone in Hikta, and he said, “We must fight for our lives, or leave” The people began to ponder what they should do. And it was decided they would fight for it. The day finally came when the battle between Hikta, and the worriers of Candidash. The enemy was all around the small village, and they out numbered them by thousands. Most people thought it was the end of Hikta, and yes, it was the end of Hikta. The villagers fought bravely, as best they could. Many died, many wounded. Finally the farmer had had enough. He gather all his people in the middle of the village, the enemy all around, then the farmer reached for a small stone on the ground, lifted it in the air and thru it in the small well that happened to be right where the captain of the enemy was planted. The ground began to shake, the enemy began to fall. The men of Candidash were afraid and began to run for there lives. Then under the villagers the ground started to form a large hole going down. The mothers held there small children close. Then right in front of the enemies eyes, the people vanished. Most thought they were gone forever, some had other theirs, it was always a mystery. But it really was simple. You see, the villagers had an escape plan just in case the battle wasn’t going well. The plan was to use that magic well to take the village under the ground.
